Reorganizing my Sewing/Craft/Office/Guest Room

Happy Monday Y'all!

This past weekend I've been working on reorganizing my multipurpose room that is in my home. I would like to use this room as an office, sewing and crafting area, and also a guest room when needed. Unfortunately I don't have three separate rooms iny home to host those individual needs. So I decided to find a budget-friendly way to organize this one room to house all my needs.

As you can see from the pictures, my room is looking kind of crazy right now. If you have watch my previous vlogs you know that the bed has been move to the other wall. I wanted to move the bed there to allow for walking and crafting space in the room.
I would love to have a beautiful to cherry colored wood desk with lots of storage, however thats not in my budget right now. I'm going to use my old kitchen table  (the table is wooden card table from target years ago) as my desk.

I know its a mess and there are random items all over the place, however I thought y'all would enjoy seeing the before. If you have any tips, suggestions, or questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below. :)

Lemon Cucumber Mint Detox Water

Hey y'all!

This morning I uploaded a vlog one of my favorite detox drinks to put together this summer. Everyone knows that drinking water daily is healthy but did you know that adding lemon, cucumber, and mint to your water takes the healthiness up another level. Putting cucumber, lemon, and mint in your water can help you get ride of belly fat, digest food better, clear skin, and much more! You can google all of the health benefits for each one of these ingredients for yourself and decide if this detox drink is best for you. I've seen other recipes on Pinterst where people put watermelon, strawberries, and other fruits in their water (prefer this recipe the best). I love to pour this detox water into my hot tea to cool it down just enough to drink without watering it down too much.

You will want to cut the cucumber slices as thin a possible to get the most flavor into your detox water.
I found this pitcher at Marshalls for under $20, the perfect size and it doesn't take up a lot of space in my refrigerator.

Sewing my 1st Tablecloth

Good Morning Darlings!

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July weekend with family and friends. My sewing project for the last few weeks have been working on was designing a tablecloth for my kitchen table. I wanted a tablecloth on the table to protect the table from spills, hot dishes, and sticky hands. To my surprise I could not find one store that sold square tablecloths. I went to Walmart, Target, World Market, and other popular chain stores.

I ended up going to Joann's to find fabric to sew my own tablecloth sense I could not find a square one for my kitchen table. I decided to go with the same fabric I used to sew my curtains hanging in the kitchen window.

However, I wanted to do something different so I decided cut the floral print fabric down into a smaller square and add brown fabric around it.

Keep in mind I never sewed a tablecloth before but it seem simple enough for me to do.

I cut the brown fabric in an angle so when I sewed it all together it will make a almost perfect square.

I also found another contrasting print fabric and attach it to the square.

I ended up adding row after row until I had ended up with enough fabric to cover the entire table. I believe it turned out pretty nice for my first try.

Don't forget to prewash your fabric before cutting into it or it will shrink in the wash and throw your measurements off.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post, to keep in touch with the latest craft project I'm working on join my facebook group; Crafting is Sexy. \
